Adironke House of Hope Orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya

We have 96 children in our orphanage in Kenya's capital. Stela Nafula runs the facility and provides food, shelter, clothing, and Christian loving care for each child with the help of volunteers. The minimum cost of feeding these children is 20,000 Kenyan shillings (Ksh) per month, about $200.00 US. 

Grace Abundance was blessed to be able to provide running water for this community. Up until these funds were available, children were carrying 5-gallon buckets of water four to five kilometers per day for basic needs such as cooking, washing, drinking, and flushing!

The children are also educated by nine volunteer teachers who struggle to teach all grades, K-12 on a very limited budget. Often, a teacher will have only one text book to teach from, with no copies for the students. Lab equipment for science classes is nonexistent. They also have leaky roofs and walls which make learning challenging during the rainy season!
